"CASE OF STUDY"

This is a case of study based on the physical and cognitive development adolescents go through. According to what the researchers of physical and cognitive development think, some physical and cognitive changes are experienced by teens among the ages from 12 to 18. This is why this study pretends to show how the theory compares and contrast with adolescents lives.

This is Gerson Ismael Gonzalez Perez is a fifteen year old adolescent who studies at Complejo Educativo S.E. During his childhood, he was a very outgoing child, who liked to play soccer with his friends all the time at home, he was very respectful and liked to study a lot. Also, Gerson is being always a student who attends classes, he does his homework, but he had always shown interest for other courses besides the basic ones like; science, maths. He liked to attend to the Karate and Office classes as well. So, he likes to study but the environment of his friends makes him lay back sometimes.  

There are some physical changes Gerson has gone and is going through during his puberty. These are the following:

• Voice change: According to the theory the voice of female and male change, but it is more notable on male teens. Gerson started to experience this change on his voice at the age of 13 which based on the theory is in the rang they have established that is from the ages 11-14.
• Height: Gerson has an average height which based on the theory girls and boys height have to do with the heredity and environment.

I have observed in this adolescent that he likes to study a lot, and other times hang around with his friends to play soccer, I believe in contrast to Piaget's theory I could say that he is the type of teenager who enjoys studying but at the same time living his life and according to Piaget environment has nothing to do with the cognitive development of an adolescent which I believe it does because in his case even though he likes studying he pays more attention to his friends because of the peer pressure he is into. So, I will go more by Vigotsky's theory which talks about environmental changes, and of course I believe that every teenager is different so we should not label them or make a generalization for all them.

Tecnologia educativa es un tema importante a tratar. Especialmente cuando nos referimos sobre la tecnologia de antes y la actual. La de antes no constaba de muchas herramientas, pero aun asi era eficaz; muchos de los grandes filósofos existieron en aquellos tiempos, los mejores escritores y los mejores científicos. No era una falta de herramientas lo que les hacia desfallecer. Sin embargo, ahora podemos ver muchas personas inteligentes deseosas de aprender, y tienen las herramientas necesarias para poner al mundo de cabeza y decir yo puedo hacer lo que Albert Einstein. La verdad es que este es un aspecto curioso, pues si ahora tenemos las mejores herramientas ¿porque no los aprovechamos?, mas bien la gente las ignora, pero si no existieran veriamos como muchos que intentaran la manera de sobresalir como lo hicieron en el pasado.

A veces comparar epocas es gracioso, sobretodo en cuanto nos ponemos a ver cómo hemos avolucionado tecnológicamente. Para ver una verdadera revolucion en este apartado bastan unos pocos años, pero cuando alargamos el periodo, hasta los 20 o 30 años, las cosas se vuelven incluso comicas.

la imagen de la que la abadia digital se hace eco nos permite ver, desde la perspectiva de los años 80, lo que deberiamos llevar encima en lugar de un telefono movil de los normales en nuestro bolsillo.

Cabe decir que la comparativa mas bien no es exacta, porque el iphone no tiene, por ejemplo, radio integrada como tal, por lo que tal ves un Nokia o un HTC, habria sido mas exacto, aunque muchas de las funciones incluso la tienen los moviles mas basicos del mercado.



Podemos ver que para escuchar musica, necesitariamos un walkman de CD, o un radio cassete, una grabadora de audio con la misma tecnologia, y para video, una pesada cámara de "hombro" y un video tambien de cintas magneticas para reproducirlas.

¿ te imaginarias volver atras el tiempo y tener que usar estos aparatos y tener que llevarlos encima?

La verdad suena muy imcomodo porque si hacemos un analisis de la evolucion de la tecnologia, se tiene que anteriormente eran aparatos muy pesados y complicados, actualmente ademas de han reducido su tamaño nos hacen la vida mas favorable y mas rapida.

Anteriormente se usaban los televisores a blanco y negro y manuales que parecian unos escaparates, ahora hay televisores pantalla plana, con control remoto y alta definicion de colores, para establecer una comunicacion era casi imposible pues los medios de antes no eran tan tecnologicos como ahora, las redes en ese entonces no eran muy rapidas y se tardaba mucho en entablar la conversacion, y peor aun cuando nisiquiera existia el telefono se comunicaban a traves de cartas y por medio del correo que era aun mas demorado.

La tecnologia nos ha facilitado en un gran porcentaje la vida pues ya hay maquinas que son capaces de reeplazar el trabajo humano en fin, son cosas que analizadolas profundamente nos daremos cuenta que nos son muy utiles y que los avances tecnologicos nos hacen vivir una nueva era.
